Terms

• One real person per account. A verdict is only worth something when every pick is honest.
• What you put in a competition is yours, and you are responsible for it.
• Universus is free and comes as it is.

Universus is run by Icarus Solution Development, a business based in the Netherlands. By creating an account or judging in a competition you agree to these terms. How we handle your information is in the Privacy policy.

• Be one person. One account each, in your own name, with your own email address.
• Be 16 or older.
• Keep it yours. Do not share your password or passkeys. What happens through your account is your responsibility.

• No extra accounts to judge the same competition more than once.
• No scripts or bots. Every pick is made by a person looking at the matchup.
• No buying or selling picks. A result that can be bought is worth nothing.

We may remove picks that break these rules.

• It stays yours. You give us permission to store your competitions and entries and show them to the people you share them with, and on the front page if anyone with the link can judge a competition and we pick it.
• Keep it legal and decent. Nothing unlawful, hateful or harassing, nothing that belongs to someone else, and no private information about other people.
• Invite with care. Invitations are emailed in your name. Only invite people who would expect to hear from you.

We may remove content, close a competition or close an account that breaks these rules.

The commentary on the results board is written by an AI model from the standings. It is there for fun and can be wrong. The standings are the result, not the commentary.

• No guarantees. Universus is free and provided as it is. It may change, have faults, or be unavailable.
• Limited liability. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for loss that comes from using Universus or from relying on a result.
• Your legal rights stay. Nothing here takes away rights the law gives you as a consumer.

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.

Dutch law applies to these terms, and disputes go to the courts of the Netherlands. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the European Union, you keep the protection of your own country's law.

When these terms change, the date at the top changes with it. If a change is a big one, we tell you by email.
